01Using FlashAid services
How do I call an ambulance through FlashAid?
Simply press the SOS button, select your symptom category, and pay using your preferred payment method.
How do you ensure the quality of treatment and professionalism of staff?
We carefully vet all our partners, performing regular checks and due diligence. We collaborate exclusively with top private medical providers in the UK, and all staff are fully qualified (e.g., EMT, ECA, Paramedic, Nurse).
Can I provide additional details about the emergency?
Absolutely. After you summon an ambulance and complete payment, you can add extra information using the “Additional Info” field, or contact your paramedic directly via chat or call.
Can I cancel an ambulance request?
Yes — you can cancel before a paramedic accepts the ride. After acceptance, a refund is not possible. Simply call the driver or message them through the chat to cancel.
How long will I wait for an ambulance?
We aim to reach you within 30 minutes. During peak times it might take a little longer — you can track your ambulance live and see the estimated arrival time.
Can I request a specific hospital for transport?
Of course. Tell the paramedic your preferred hospital when the crew arrives.
What ambulance will arrive?
The nearest available private ambulance is dispatched — equipped for emergencies and staffed by trained professionals. You can also request a specific ambulance type (e.g., bariatric) through the scheduling feature; response times may be longer for these requests.
What if I wasn't satisfied with the service?
We're sorry to hear that. Contact FlashAid support via the app or website and our team will promptly address your concerns and work to find a resolution.
02Availability and coverage
Is FlashAid available in my area?
FlashAid is currently live across London. We're expanding rapidly — Sussex and Thames Valley are next; check the coverage map in the app for the latest.
Are FlashAid services available 24/7?
Currently we operate from 6am to 2am daily, including bank holidays. 24/7 service is coming very soon.
What happens if there is no available ambulance?
In rare cases where finding an ambulance takes more than 20 minutes, your order is cancelled automatically and you receive a full refund.
03Costs and subscription
Is the app free?
Using FlashAid's services requires a monthly membership starting at just £2.99 — less than a cup of coffee. We also offer a free trial to get you started.
What is included in FlashAid Basic?
With Basic you can summon ambulances for emergencies or schedule patient transport. Ambulance dispatch fees are billed separately.
What is FlashAid Premium?
Premium adds priority dispatch (faster service during busy times), a 20% discount on ambulance calls, and access to a personalised medical concierge for healthcare queries and post-discharge arrangements. You can also share your ride in real time via a link.
How much does it cost to call an ambulance?
We charge a fixed fee of £295 (£236 with Premium) for home assessment and treatment by our qualified staff. If transport to a hospital is needed, it's £99 per hour (£79 with Premium), billed separately at the end of the ride and rounded up to the next hour — a 20-minute ride is charged as one hour.
What is covered within the cost?
Dispatch and basic emergency care at your location, including medications if needed, plus transport to your chosen hospital. Treatment at the hospital itself is not managed by FlashAid.
How long do orders typically take?
Most orders complete within 1–2 hours if treated at home, referred to a GP, or taken to a private urgent care centre. For NHS hospital transport, times depend on hospital queues. You may sign a discharge form and use the walk-in entrance instead, but we advise against it — at your own risk.
04Security and privacy
Is my personal information secure with FlashAid?
Yes. We use advanced encryption to protect your data, are ICO registered, and fully comply with GDPR.
How do I log out or delete my FlashAid account?
Go to the Account section in the app and select the appropriate option.
05Referral programme
How does the referral programme work?
Share your unique promo code: the person you refer gets 10% off their first order, you earn £20 when they complete it — plus £5 for all their future rides.
How do I get paid for referrals?
Press “Withdraw” in your app profile and choose bank transfer or card. There's no limit on withdrawals.
